The Matrix is not some evil thing external to us. The Matrix is a primary metaphysical principle termed PRAKRITI in Sanskrit. The Matrix is the energy that the Oneness emits and brings into play in order to create the ‘appearance’ of It not being One – the energy that the Oneness veils Itself with to project the temporal illusion of multiplicity.
The Matrix in Sanskrit is known as Prakriti, Maya, Shakti, and many other names depending on which term any particular school of metaphysical inquiry prefers. The etymology of the Latin word Matrix is ‘womb’ and thus the Matrix is the feminine principle, the goddess energy, the womb of the universe.
As Prakriti she is the metaphysical principle in Nature the material universe, the material nature, Mother Nature, matter itself. Maya is her means and Shakti the fuel.
Maya is Creative Illusion
As Maya she is the creative force that deludes us with her vast array of temporal holographic illusions. Maya seduces us at every turn, enticing us to believe that our temporal and illusory holograms are real. The Oneness uses her powers of illusion to Veil Itself and forget that It is the Oneness — so It can ‘play’ as us in Time and Space, following our every desire [kama] and all our amazing delightful and pain-filled adventures until we become weary of the whole game.
Maya dances for us, as pieces of the Oneness until we realize that her seductions are mere artifice and that we have mistaken her subtle enchantments for the Real. The moment she understands that we have at last seen through her deceptions, she stops her performance, ceases to dance, and vanishes. This metaphor of Maya as the dancer and performer is written in the ancient Sanskrit teaching known as Samkhya.
Shakti is Power!
As Shakti she is the Force of Power within everything, the Shakti as kundalini, in sex, birth and death, the ecstasies of love and the horrors of war. In Sanskrit you often see Mayashakti as one word, or Shaktimaya.
This is the Matrix, the goddess energy in all her forms, her powers and glory, the adoring passionate lover, the devoted wife, the loving nurturing protective Mother, fighting and killing to defend her young, destroying what threatens her children, her family — and even now what threatens her earth, her heliosphere, her galaxies, her entire temporal illusory holographic universe.
That is the Matrix.
Throughout the Cycles of Time, the Matrix takes on varying forms and by the time we arrive in the Twilight of the Kali Yuga, the Matrix becomes the very energy that will bring this Cycle of Time to its end. She ends this illusion. The negative darkside energies are allowed free reign to enslave and poison this current temporal world so that the Kali Yuga itself may come to an end. That is their function. They bring this current illusion to its end.
The Matrix is now the goddess that also destroys, in the same way that a field must be cleared for the next season. So we experience the Matrix as something sinister. But in truth, even now, even acting as and through TPTB, she is still the Oneness in veiled form, and she is manifesting precisely and exactly in alignment with the unfolding cycles of time.
World without end
So there is nothing to fear — only big changes coming and the end of yet another illusion. This is our 454th Kali Yuga in this one Kalpa. So you have already been exactly where you are now 454 times!
In Hindu metaphysics time is cyclical and each period of manifestation is called a KALPA of Brahma, equivalent to 4.32 billion human years.
The KALPA is subdivided into 14 MANVANTARAS.
We are now in the seventh MANVANTARA of this KALPA.
Each MANVANTARA is divided into 71 MAHA-YUGAS of 4,320,000 years each.
We are in the 28th MAHA-YUGA of this MANVANTARA.
Each MAHA-YUGA is made up of four yugas
So what freedom do you have and how can you make the return Home? When you are weary of having endless experiences in 100s of Manvantaras in 1000s of bodies, you have the freedom to turn inward and Remember that it was you who bound yourself in the webs of MAYA.
You are the Oneness, you have always been that and always will be.
If that is what you want, use this time to find your way back Home.

The writers of the film ‘The Matrix’ were very aware of Sanskrit metaphysics and even used Sanskrit verse from various texts in the lyrics of their soundtrack of the trilogy’s final battle.
